Healthy Recipe: Fountain of Youth Smoothie Bowl
Updated: Aug 25
Are you looking for a fast and healthy breakfast? Post workout meal? SNACK? Smoothie bowls are one of my favorite ways to pack nutrition into a quick and easy meal. I call it the fountain of youth because this recipe includes goji berries which are a true superfood. Loaded with antioxidants, vitamins A and C, and more. In herbalism, goji berries have long been believed to promote long life, which modern research is gradually supporting. They have been linked to improved immune system, liver, cardiovascular and brain function, so why not try incorporating them in your routine?!

RECIPE
Smoothie Bowl Ingredients:
One frozen banana
About one cup of frozen cherries (or strawberries if you prefer)
1/4 to 1/2 cup of dried goji berries
1/2 tbsp chia seeds (optional)
1 Tbsp pumpkin seeds (optional)
1/2 cup oats (optional)
milk of choice (I used unsweetened cashew milk)
Directions:
Add frozen fruits and goji berries to blender
Add additional seed and grain ingredients for added nutrients, fiber, and protein.
Cover with milk of choice (add more or less depending on how thick you want the smoothie bowl to be).
Blend and serve (SO EASY)
Optional toppings: I topped my bowl with (top left to bottom right) a scoop of peanut butter, bee pollen, cacao nibs, coconut shavings, fresh blueberries. And then I drizzled raw honey over the top.
Tuck in!
